KEF Q750 Floorstanding Speaker Review
KEF Q750 tower speakers have powerful and engaging soundstage. The speakers are warm sounding, and it focuses on details as well. They can get quite loud without being distorted. We enjoyed music through them but for movies, a subwoofer is a better option. They have great clarity and overall, the build quality is also good.
Our Verdict
KEF Q750 floorstanding speaker can deliver clean sound with zero noticeable distortion. For movies, a subwoofer and center channel will give you dramatic change and you will have an immersive experience. If you live in apartments or cozy spaces, you might not need a subwoofer. Design and build:
KEF Q750 tower speaker is smaller than the Q950 speaker and belongs to the KEF Q series. They have MDF cabinet that is well-known for its durability and pure sound production. Make sure to use the speakers with outrigger feet that ensures stability. It also has spike feet that you can install to protect your floor. Like the KEF Q 950 model you need to purchase separate grilles for the speaker if you want to protect the drivers.
Performance:
The speaker has a 1” aluminum dome tweeter that works with tangerine waveguide to deliver smooth and rich highs. It ensures the treble does not sound harsh and will be dispersed throughout a wider area. Midrange is precise and the Uni-Q driver ensures better movement along with undistorted sound. This Uni-Q driver array is located within a closed cabinet that ensures minimized distortion.
Similar to the KEF Q950 model, it has 6.5” woofer and 2 6.5” Auxilary Bass Radiators. The speakers have broader sweet spots and can deliver room-filling sound. They can produce 3-dimensional sound space and ensure the performance remains consistent no matter where you are in the room. KEF Q750 speakers are quite easy to drive.
While placing them, keep them 6-10’ apart. The distance should be the same between speaker and user. Toe-in them within a 22–30-degree angle with the user. Overall, the speakers can deliver satisfying and engaging sound. The sound is enveloping and impactful.
Use case:
KEF Q750 floorstanding speakers are suitable for medium to large sized rooms. With deep and tight lows, the speakers are ideal for music, movies, sports, shows or games. You might not need a subwoofer in medium sized rooms but for large rooms, bass heads will prefer one.

You will need a matching amplifier or receiver to power the speakers. Connection and setup are easy and straightforward.
Cost

FAQ:
KEF Q950 vs Q750, which one is better?
KEF Q750 is less costly than the Q950 speaker that belongs to the same series and has similar driver configuration. The Q950 floorstanding speaker is an upgraded model, it is larger than the Q750 with larger tweeter and woofer drivers. As a result, the sound will be better with the Q950 even if it is not dramatic. If you seek deep and tight bass but do not have space for a subwoofer, then you can go with the KEF Q950 model. Based on your room size, bass preference and budget, you can choose the Q750 or Q950.
How to improve my room layout in case it affects the sound performance?
The easiest way to improve the room layout or acoustics is to use your receiver room calibration settings. You can also include room acoustic treatments like curtains, carpets, etc. but that is time-consuming and costly.
