It provides 75 Ohm impedance to the video device and 100 Ohm impedance to the cabling as required. This balancing of impedance allows the video signal to be carried using unshielded twisted pair cable.
You save installation time by using the existing unshielded twisted pair network. You can connect the balun to the wire using the convenient IDC connector. With the help of an IDC you can send up to 4 video signals over standard unshielded twisted pair cables.
